If you’ve been following my work, you may remember that last Summer Amanda and I had a summertime aerial pool photoshoot with not one, not two, not three…but FIVE different models. We captured some beautiful images and we’ve been dreaming of another shoot since! Therefore, I’m so happy to share images from our second annual aerial pool photoshoot below!
After an early morning session at the gym, my Instagram notification lit-up. I couldn’t help but smile: a new group message! Amanda, Yasmin, and I began discussing preparation and planning for another pretty pool photoshoot for the summer. The stars aligned and the second weekend of June happened to work well for us all!
Saturday, June 12 began bright and early at 6:00 AM for a light makeup session with Eli at The Sparkle Bar. Eli is one of my favorite makeup artists in the Valley and The Sparkle Bar always provides flawless results. Definitely stop by the next time you need your make-up done prior to a session! You can even book an appointment with my referral for 50% off here. Why am I mentioning this? It’s one more thing I have in common with my clients. I love professional makeup for various special occasions and I had a few fun things planned for the day.
Due to the excessive heat, we started our shoot next to the sparkling pool at 9:00 AM. We had a full set-up ready for aerial and portrait photo for Bronwyn and Stephanie. That set-up included various backdrops, fun pool floats, and props! With our planning and preparation, the pictures turned out even better than we had imagined.
As you can see from the photos, the strong early morning sunshine worked in our favor, eliminating any unflattering shadows for the aerial photos and helping all of the poolside colors pop!
I am so thankful to have Amanda and Yasmin, two (2) extremely talented women, as friends and collaborators. To no one’s surprise I’m sure, we are already planning another shoot soon!
