The Inquiry
As a Northern Arizona University alumni, I am always happy connecting with NAU graduating senior students for portrait sessions! Antonela reached out via the Contact form to schedule senior photos a few months before her May 7th graduation. Of course I stopped everything I was doing to write back! I LOVE working with college seniors. I am always honored to be asked to take a small part in such a special time.
During our initial discussions, Antonela asked if I could deliver the images early with enough time to print announcements prior to walking. I am always happy to accommodate an expedited delivery timeline for my seniors. I understand the excitement/importance of sharing with loved ones to celebrate such a milestone.
Thanks to supply chain issues, Antonela’s cap and gown did not arrive on-time. Thankfully, Antonela had a friend with a stole and gown to borrow! Next, I realized that one of my best friends Megan still had her cap from our graduation. Saving the day, she wholeheartedly agree to let us borrow it for the shoot! We were all set.
The Senior Portrait Session
Antonela’s sophisticated style stood out immediately when I arrived on north campus. A woman after my own heart that loves neutrals with pops of color (pastels, in her case). As you can see, her go-to dressy outfit is a dress with chunky heels. Gold jewelry is always a must in her outfits, providing a classy touch.
Talking about our time at NAU, Antonela said she first loved how beautiful the campus was, the weather, and how small and cozy the University felt. I completely agree with her sentiment and Northern Arizona University is the perfect fit in that regard. When she hasn’t been working toward her degree in Public Health from the College of Health and Human Services, she enjoys working out, picnics, trying new coffee shops, and scrapbooking. It was so much fun connecting with Antonela and getting to know her interests better during our shoot!
I had such a wonderful time returning to my alma mater to wander the grounds of north campus at Old Main and venturing to south campus at the Health and Human Services building and the school sign. We got some stunning senior photos at each spot. The images below are just a small selection of the entire gallery.
Antonela, CONGRATULATIONS again on all of your accomplishments (not least being on the Dean’s list 4 years in a row). I am so happy to help celebrate your upcoming commencement with these images. You certainly have a bright future ahead of you!
Special thanks to Ellen Navarro, one of my favorite make-up artists in Flagstaff. I send all of my NAU graduating senior students her way and she always delivers!
