A few months ago, Bethany and Nick contacted me to schedule a destination anniversary session in Sedona, Arizona. Taking a trip the week of their five (5) year wedding anniversary, the timing on a Tuesday worked out perfectly.
Bethany and Nick are high-school sweethearts who’ve been together since meeting a friend’s house 13 years ago! I always love working with couples who have been together as long as these two. They are so in-tune with each other in love.
Every year, the two take a trip to celebrate their anniversary. I loved hearing about their travel adventures during our session. They have been to some amazing locations over the years (like Greece!) and I was thrilled that they choose to spend time with me as part of their celebrations this year.
Getting to know Bethany and Nick, I asked their favorite features about one another. Among other things, Nick said that Bethany has a great smile, one that everyone notices. I have to agree! Bethany, understandably, loves Nick’s beautiful green eyes.
I have to say, Bethany and Nick fit right in Arizona during our photo adventure. They’re the type of couple that spends a lot of time outside hiking so their location choice was perfect. A moderate, bouldering, out-and-back hike with spectacular 360 degree views no matter where you stop.
Being from Pennsylvania, Bethany and Nick choose the Sedona desert for their session because everything back home is so, so green. They wanted something different and had never been to Arizona. They were understandably excited to have their pictures taken in such a beautiful location. Any time I get to explore the area again with out-of-state clients, I’m reminded how lucky I am. I love living and shooting in Arizona. Being able to experience the state through fresh eyes again and again is such a gift.
I knew I was going to love the images from this shoot. As you can see from the images below, there’s a good reason for that. Bethany and Nick, thank you for making another hike and sunset session so memorable. Thank you for choosing me to help celebrate with your destination anniversary session in Sedona.
Special thanks to Kelley for being an amazing second shooter once again!
