Dreamy Desert Sunset Session

I am so excited to share this dreamy desert sunset session with you today! Amanda is always such a joy to be around – I’ve been looking forward to working with her for quite a while!

First a little bit of backstory:

I met Amanda at a Women Who Drone x Rizse event at Scottsdale Fashion Square in November of 2019. I am so thankful to have attended/assisted with that event. She and so many other women who were in attendance have become invaluable connections and friends.

When I launched my photography business, she was one of the first people to reach out regarding scheduling a shoot. I couldn’t have been more thrilled! A fellow drone pilot and Women Who Drone ambassador, you should know that Amanda is also an extremely gifted model. Her work is GORGEOUS. Her sense of style is impeccable. And she is always, always up for an adventure.

A trait that turned out to be well-suited to our session…Amanda was a true PRO braving the cold (a balmy 55 degrees with 19 mph winds)!

Thankfully, the cloud-cover provided an even, overcast light that looked absolutely amazing on camera! Just before sunset, the glow penetrated the clouds enough for us to get some stunning shots. Enveloped by gleaming golden hour light, gorgeous green cacti, and the scenic Bradshaw mountains in the background, we were in heaven.

Due to the high winds during the shoot, we have another shoot planned for the coming months to capture aerial content/additional portraits too. In the Springtime, the cacti should be blooming beautifully!

I already can’t wait to meet up again. I always have so much fun with Amanda and Anthony. Whether dining out (pre-pandemic), droning, looking for new locations to shoot, or simply talking about life.
