So happy to share that one of my favorite aerial photos was just selected for the AZDroneFest! My image is a nominee for Best Photography in the 2023 AZDroneFest on September 23, 2023.

The image is titled Awe-Inspiring Alpine Lake. The image, captured during a stunning three (3) day trip to Nevada and California, is one of my favorite photos. On the trip, I scheduled time just to capture aerial drone footage. I had an amazing time hiking these spectacular forested landscapes with my family overlooking the lake during sunrise. The day of the session, we woke up well before dawn. I called a taxi from our hotel to this remote location. As the morning light began to brighten, we made our way down a sandy pathway. At the bottom, we found a secluded, spectacular spot surrounded by stunning blue water, emerald pines, and snow-capped peaks.

AZDrone Fest is an aerial cinematography and photography festival/UAS expo held at Grand Canyon University. I have made it a priority of mine to attend and volunteer each year.

The educational expo is excellent. It connects attendees with sUAS industry specialists through panel discussions, lectures by keynote speakers, and workshops for both commercial and recreational drone pilots.
